Join the Slack
Cal Poly Hyperloop & Tunneling uses Slack as our primary form of communication. We strongly encourage downloading the app on your phone in order to stay up to date. We also suggest reading the 'Slack Tips and Best Practices'.
Club Meetings
The club meets weekly in Engineering IV (building 192) in room 132 at 10am every Saturday. Additionally, all subteams have a separate sub-one hour meeting sometime during the week where they discuss the progress of the subteam. All information for meetings can be found in the #general channel of the Slack. Subteam channels can be joined by going to 'Add Channels' at the plus sign next to channels, channels you wish to join can then be selected.
Calendar
The general schedule for the club (which includes meeting times and deadlines) can be added to your calendar by importing this link to your calendar of choice: [General Meetings and Deadlines].
Slack Tips and Best Practices
If you haven't already, please download the Slack mobile app in order to keep up to date with our communications. As a member of the team please turn notifications on. This can be done in the mobile app by going to 'You' in the bottom right, then 'Notifications' and finally select 'All new messages'. This will give a notification on your phone for all channels you are in.
Please add a profile picture of yourself so members know who they are messaging. This can be done in the mobile app by going to 'You' in the bottom right, then clicking on your profile picture and choosing an appropriate picture.
Please follow thread etiquette: In an occurring conversation please comment in threads instead of sending a new message which may send unnecessary notifications to members not participating in the conversation.
